![]() Welcome to my website. I hope you find your visit enjoyable. There’s no underestimating the challenges I as a professional wedding photographer face. My job: create matrimonial masterpieces that captures the essence of an emotional, truly life-changing day–the private and public moments, the interactions of individuals, the group dynamics, the personalities of the chief players. And don’t get in the way of any of it. Challenges not to be taken lightly; or for the faint of heart, or for the inexperienced. My life in wedding photography started in 1997 as an apprentice lugging equipment, loading countless rolls of film, and driving all over Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. I learned a lot during that period of my life and found myself looking forward to Saturdays; not for the day off, but for the next wedding! Since then I have managed to keep raising the bar with my wedding photography and grow my business significantly. Besides shooting weddings most weekends, my weeks are filled with engagement portrait sessions and I have also been shooting a lot of boudoir portraits - one of the latest trends in wedding photography, as well as Trash The Dress shoots – another hot new trend. Yet, in the midst of this hectic schedule, my ‘matrimonial M.O.’ has remained the same - capture the love and romance, the emotions, of your wedding day. While I concentrate on your formal poses, my second shooter captures the in-between candid moments. This formula allows me to deliver to you a combination of Traditional, Editorial and Fine Art photography that tells your entire wedding story from the special people to the special moments throughout your entire wedding day. I really do love weddings! And I really do love photography!! The best part of my profession is connecting with every bride and groom on a very personal level making them feel relaxed and beautiful in front of my lens. I can think of nothing more rewarding than photographing weddings!I really don’t think of wedding photography as taking pictures though; rather I think of it as capturing emotions on film – now digital. I want to forever capture the love and romance of your wedding day. I want your pictures to ignite memories and feelings that stir your soul. I want you to laugh-out-loud, I want you to smile, I want you to sigh, and I want to bring a tear to your eye. Capturing these emotions is infectious for me. If this sounds infectious to you too, why don’t we get together and discuss your wedding photography soon. If you love beautiful photographs as much as I do we’ll connect on a very personal level; a level that will reveal something real about you - nuances, facial expressions and body language that make people unique and attractive. I love weddings and I love photography. I trust this is reflected in the warm and uncompromising quality of the images I capture.Because I make my living as a professional wedding photographer, I believe in the words, “You’re only as good as your equipment”. As such I invest a lot of time and money in making sure that I have the finest cameras and training possible, as well as backup equipment. I rely on the very finest camera gear available. I spare no expense on my cameras, lenses and lighting because only the finest equipment allows me to capture the feelings that fill your day. However, cameras and other photographic gear can and do malfunction; therefore I bring three identical state-of-the-art cameras, multiple lenses, and five flashes to every wedding. If something –anything- should malfunction during your wedding day, I won’t miss a shot because of the backup gear and people I bring with me. Similarly I use two, three or four lights for your alter group shots, at your reception, or anywhere they’re needed. The difference is tremendous; the volume of light and the angles that multiple lighting creates in an image is not possible with one small flash mounted to the camera. Multiple lights is in my opinion the only way to capture the true color and contrast that makes your wedding images look like a professional photographer took them vs. Uncle Joe with his expensive new DSLR or some other weekend wedding photographer. Beyond the technical expertise with state-of-the-art cameras, equipment and the knowledge of lighting, great wedding photography requires sensitivity, compassion, intuition and an eye for those ‘killer shots’ developed over many years of photographing weddings. I’ve photographed so many weddings I have an intimate knowledge of how weddings flow. That puts me, and you, in the right place at the right time for the killer shots!I photograph everything possible prior to your ceremony. This means I can get you out of the church within 30 minutes or so following the ceremony so you have more time to enjoy your reception. At your reception, I work closely with you and your DJ or band to organize all of your formal events in the order and timing that you want. This ensures that you are in the right spot at the right time giving you one less thing to think about and more time to enjoy yourself. Save Money – Splurge on an Extra Honeymoon Day!Since I began photographing weddings, I have never adopted the practice used by so many other studios of forcing you to wade through multiple wedding packages and force you to choose one package over another - how do you know how many 8X10s or albums you want until you’ve seen your pictures? I offer one complete package at one affordable price. Check My Availability for Your Wedding Date.Even though I am a professional wedding photographer, wedding photography isn’t just a job to me; it’s an artistic calling that I love. I connect on a very personal level with my brides and grooms, making each one feel relaxed and beautiful in front of my lens. Because of this connection and the resulting images my business has grown considerably over the years making me a very popular wedding photographer. Due to this popularity I’ve had to limit the number of weddings I can photograph each year. Nonetheless, I have sold out each of the last nine years and my open dates continue to book quickly.
